A Kingston blogger is cycling 300 kilometres to raise money for charity after his wife suffered a breast cancer scare.

James Johns, who runs the website Experience Kingston , will complete his marathon cycle from July 1 to July 31 and aims to raise money for Breast Cancer Now

The blogger is currently going out on his bike for between 8 and 24 miles per day despite the blazing temperatures of the July heatwave.

He is doing the fundraiser following a Breast Cancer scare that his wife had at the beginning of the pandemic and after losing his grandma to the illness before she was born.

James has already raised over £400 - smashing his £300 target - and you can donate to his JustGiving page HERE

In a Facebook post announcing his fundraiser, James said: "This month I will be cycling 300k for breast cancer.

"My wife had a breast cancer scare at the start of covid and it was many months of worry as appointments kept getting pushed back.

"I also lost my grandmother to breast cancer before I was born.

"This challenge will take place over the full month and I aim to cycle between 8 to 24 miles per day.

"I have set out with a target of £300.00 so any money you can chuck in would be great!

"However, I know times are tough and messages of support are just as valued. Massively appreciate any support xx"
