Kingston Bishop to run Pennine Way to raise money for building schools in Zimbabwe

The Bishop of Kingston, The Rt Revd Dr Martin Gainsborough, and his "faithful" Border Collie, Jem, will be running the Pennine Way this month to raise funds to build new schools in Zimbabwe.
The pair will be averaging a marathon a day for 10 days, camping together along the way.
The Pennine Way runs 267 miles, crossing some of the country's wildest terrain, from Edale in the Peak District to Kirk Yetholm just over the Scottish border, with nearly 40,000 feet of height gain.
The Kingston Episcopal Area has had a link with the Diocese of Matabeleland for many years.
Revd Dr Gainsborough said: "The Link celebrates our unity in Christ, helping churches and communities in both areas to grow in friendship and in faith in God."
The bishop hopes to raise £30k as part of this challenge and has already raised £21,938.
