The three-day Kingston Beer Festival opens at Kingston Workmen's Club & Institute tomorrow, 23 May.

Running from Thursday 23 to Saturday 25 May, the event promises over 110 different real ales, ciders, and perries (otherwise known as pear cider).

For the first time in the festival's 23-year history, its roster will feature a selection of keg beers – undoubtedly a controversial addition to some of the real ale drinkers of CAMRA Kingston & Leatherhead.

"Yes we have lager!" exclaim the organisers' drinks list.

"You will be glad to know that we have increased the beer order [...] we hope to be serving until the planned closing time on Saturday," they assured on the event's webpage.

Tickets for the festival are available here, with the first session starting at 11am on Thursday.
