Kingston Academy's Head Teacher has congratulated the school's Year 13 students on receiving "outstanding" A-Level results today (Thursday, 14 August).

Sophie Cavanagh, Executive Director, Kingston Educational Trust; Head Teacher, The Kingston Academy, said: "We are thrilled to celebrate an outstanding set of A Level results received today by our students.

"Their hard work, resilience, and determination have truly paid off, with many achieving top grades and securing places at leading universities, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities.

"Congratulations to all - students and teachers alike!"

The academy's Year 13 cohort received a high number of offers from prestigious Russell Group Universities this year.

Its students sat 280 qualifications between them, with 32% of these grades awarded A* and A, above the national average of 28%. Further to this, 56% were marked at A*-B.

13 students (15%) achieved the top A* and A grades in 3 or more of their subjects.

Kingston Academy's University applicants have been delighted with their results. Outstanding grades have facilitated access to top universities including:

  • Ali - (A*A*A*A) Aeronautical Engineering - Imperial College London
  • Ozgur - (A*A*AA) Biomedical Engineering - UCL
  • Syed - (A*A*A*) Physics - Imperial College London
  • Niki - (A*AA) Medicine - City St George's University
  • Amy - (AAA) History - University of Bristol
  • Seung - (A*AA) Economics - Exeter
  • Max - (A*AA) Geology - University of Bristol
  • Tiger - (A*AB) Law - London School of Economics

Kingston Academy says it was "also delighted for Rosie (A*A*A), our first student to secure a place studying English Literature at the University of Cambridge".
