A JOB fair focusing on Kickstart placements for young people is being held in Kingston town centre today (1 Feb).

16-24 year olds who are on Universal Credit are eligible to take part in the Kickstart scheme which offers paid work placements of 6 months.

A range of employers from different sectors offering Kickstart roles will be at today's event.

The fair is from 11am-4pm and held at the Guildhall. It is completely free to attend.

The Kickstart scheme ends in March so it is one of the last opportunities to find and apply to Kickstart roles.

The fair has been organised by Achieving for Kingston and the Kingston Chamber of Commerce.

Employers from the following sectors will be attending:

  • Office Admin
  • Marketing & Social Media
  • Web Design
  • Childcare
  • Video Production
  • Food Prep & Catering
  • Education
  • Finance
