KFC and Deliveroo end delivery partnership

By Emily Dalton 26th Oct 2023

Customers will no longer be able to order KFC's chicken on Deliveroo from Kingston's Clarence Street or Surbiton's Brighton Road from today, 26 October.

Fried chicken chain KFC and delivery service Deliveroo have ended their partnership after failing to agree on commission rates.

A Deliveroo spokesperson said: "Deliveroo's focus is providing great value on our platform and partnering with restaurants and grocers who share the same outlook.

"We were pleased to be able to offer KFC the opportunity to bring down commission rates by improving their service for our shared consumers. We regret that KFC has refused to agree to these terms at this time."

KFC said it was focusing on its own platform, KFC Delivery, as well as its partnerships with rival delivery aggregators Just Eat and Uber Eats.

In a statement from the fast food chain, it said: "[KFC] wants to thank Deliveroo's riders for their hard work in helping to deliver its finger lickin' fried chicken to fans across the country."

Deliveroo said "thousands of incredible chicken restaurants" were still available to across its platform.
