Children across England head back to school on Monday March 8th.

Kingston Council have issued advice to parents to keep their children safe.

The council have also spoken about the testing situation for children in the borough.

Cllr Diane White, Portfolio Holder for Children's Services said: "To help keep our schools open, all secondary pupils - as well as all primary and secondary staff - will be offered twice weekly home tests."

Here is the advice for parents and carers:

Maintain social distancing at pick up and drop off times, and wear a mask.

If your child has a positive COVID-19 test, let school know straight away.

If you're contacted by NHS Test and Trace help them to find all positive cases and stop the spread. Support is available if you have to self-isolate.

If you have to leave home to work, book free regular rapid COVID-19 tests at one of our community test sites - even if you don't have symptoms.
