About Us

Holland Hahn & Wills is an award winning Chartered Financial Planning firm based by

Kingston Bridge.

We require a paraplanning administrator who is keen to make a positive impact on the lives

of our clients, is interested in working for a friendly, ambitious firm and can work both

independently and as part of a team.

The Role

The Paraplanning Administrator will work closely with the Financial Planners and Client

Service Team in analysing a client's existing arrangements, researching potential solutions,

using cashflow modelling and preparing recommendation reports and documents required to

allow the Financial Planner to present solutions to their client, and for the client to proceed

with those recommendations if agreed.

Key Aspects of the Role:

- Delivery of Excellent Client Service: Desire to deliver an outstanding client service

experience with efficient operations. The paraplanning administrator will provide support

directly to the Planners in the preparation of client communication and investment reports.

They will be pro-active and a self-starter, in regular contact with clients to update them as

needed.

-Preparation: Ability to work with the team to ensure that all the documents, meeting prep

and strategy discussions are organised and executed to best prepare for client meetings.

Valuations and other items required by the Financial Planner for their meeting will need to

be prepared.

- Analysis: Responsibility for analysing a client's existing arrangements by completing a

review of the client's existing plans to ensure that full information has been obtained to

allow the Financial Planner to provide the best advice to the client. This will involve liaising

with the Financial Planner and possibly plan providers to obtain updated and relevant

information.

- Using Cashflow Modelling: Ensuring a client is loaded onto the relevant cashflow

modelling tool (e.g. Voyant) with current values and circumstances.

- Research & Recommendations: Conducting research on specific solutions as and when

required. This will involve completing full market research and ensuring that all the due

diligence is completed and added to the file. The role will involve liaising with external

technical paraplanners where necessary to prepare recommendation reports and documents

required to allow the Financial Planner to present solutions to their client. The individual will

need to obtain the relevant paperwork or application forms required to implement the

proposed recommendations, including illustrations if required and then submit draft and

paperwork for review by the Financial Planner. Furthermore, the paraplanner administrator

along with the adviser, will help build an individual client's financial plan to review and

analyse any potential shortfalls which need to be addressed.

- Administration & Tasks: There will also be administrative tasks associated with the role,

such as obtaining quotations, putting together client information packs, completing

application forms, recording client information for compliance purposes, transcribing

dictation and organising post and paperwork. Fact finds will need to be completed in a

timely fashion following meetings, and the role will involve liaison with providers via website

and telephone to request information and monitor process of applications.

The following tasks may also form part of the daily role:

- Designing spreadsheets to generate performance data.

- Analysis of technical data from a range of sources including external paraplanners.

- Assist in structuring risk-based client investment portfolios.

- Generate portfolio valuations.

- Prepare group scheme renewal documentation.

- Maintain and assist with compliance aspects of advice and client communication.

- Welcome clients and guests, providing refreshments as necessary.

- Contribute to social media activities (e.g. writing a blog).

- Helping to run a small business (e.g. client events, stationery orders, printing).

Education & Experience

- 3-5 Years financial services experience, ideally with a financial planning firm.

- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

- Enthusiastic team player.

- Proactive and engaged.

- Effective time management skills.

- Analytical and interested in problem solving.

- Great attention to detail.

- Happy to work with various different people in an open plan environment.
