Kingston Carers Network is aiming to raise £10,000 to help "brighten the year ahead for Kingston's young carers" and is seeking help from the local community in doing so.
Kingston Carers Network's Young Carers Project (YCP) provides vital support all year round, including weekly youth clubs, drop-ins, school-holiday respite activities, one-to-one mentoring, and targeted family support.
It helps young carers build friendships, find confidence, and enjoy the childhood moments "they so richly deserve".
From now until Tuesday, 2 December, every £1 donated to the charity through the Big Give Christmas campaign will be doubled.

If you are a UK taxpayer, you can also add Gift Aid, sprinkling even more magic onto your donation.
All funds raised will help the charity give young carers a much-needed break from caring — supporting holiday activities throughout 2026.
Speaking about the campaign, Kingston Carers Network said: "Thanks to the generosity of the Shanly Foundation — like a Christmas miracle.
"If you can, please donate and share — together we can make this season brighter for the young carers in our community."
