Have you voted in this year’s Kingston Borough Sports Awards?

Residents of Kingston have until Monday, 31st October to cast their vote in this year's Kingston Borough Sports Awards.
The annual competition awards sports participants, coaches or volunteers who live in royal borough of Kingston and have excelled in their chosen sport across a number of categories.
The Sports Achiever of Year award is gifted to an individual who has made significant progress in their sport, has shown exceptional dedication and commitment and continues to uphold their part as an outstanding role model.
The Youth Sports Achiever of the Year goes to an individual aged up to 21 who excels in the above Sports Achiever of the Year's categories.
Kingston Rowing Club were the proud recipients of last year's Junior Sports Team of the Year Award after their success during the sporting season. The award is given to a sports club who compete at youth ages up to and including U 18.
The same award will be up for grabs this year alongside a senior version. The winning club would have shown exceptional commitment to development and the activities and services they offer to the local community. Last year's recipient was the Kingstonian Hockey Club.
The Disabled Sports Achiever of the Year is awarded to the individual who has made significant progress in their sport, has shown exceptional commitment, exceeded expectations and continues to uphold their part as an outstanding role model. Caitlin Trevor, a swimmer at Kingston Royals was the 2021 winner.
Beverley Gow was the winner of the 2021 Mayor's Trophy after her work with the community based-initiative Park Run. This year's award will be presented by Cllr Yogan Yoganathan, the current mayor of Kingston upon Thames.
The Junior and Senior Team of the Year Award's for 2022 also require nominations to be submitted as well as Active School of the year.
The Eileen Gray Trophy is presented to either a coach or athlete who has inspired others and the Neil Desai Award is credited to someone under the age of 21 who has not only achieved in their chosen sport but has given something back to the community through voluntary coaching, fundraising or mentoring young people.
