A Surbiton couple responsible for the recently opened distillery on Kingston's riverside will be launching its gin school this September.

Sam Berry and his wife Alex are the duo behind 'Bone Idyll', an innovative and creative spirits brand in the heart of Kingston.

After opening their distillery on Water Lane in late June, the restaurateurs, mixologists and entrepreneurs are now ready to launch the Bone Idyll Gin School on Friday 9th September.

Gin enthusiasts will have the opportunity to create their own recipes with two sessions set to be offered per week on a Friday and Saturday at 3pm.

Mondays and Tuesdays are set aside for distilling, but the rest of the week sees the distillery come alive for members of the public with an open-bar available for walk-in customers as well as the soon-to-be-opened gin school.

Sam and Alex Berry are also the owners of No.97, Cento Uno and The Hideaway (Surbiton), One One Four (Teddington) as well as The Good Life Gin Company.

The duo launched their latest project after approaching crowdfunding programmes, reaching out to customers across their four restaurants for financial support.

The partners had set an initial target of £300,000 but were blown away by the support they received from the community and were left with £500,000 to put towards their new venture.

A distillery and gin school by day, a bar by night. A fantastic addition to Kingston!
