Fulham FC Training Ground seeks permission to sell alcohol

Fulham Football Club (FC) Training Ground in New Malden is seeking permission from Kingston Council to sell alcohol.
It hopes to sell alcohol on the premises from 10am – 11pm seven days a week.
The training ground is open from 8am – 11pm Monday – Sunday and hosts football matches for First Team men's, Women's, and Under 21's Athletes.
It also has academy student athlete training facilities.
To prevent any crime and disorder that may stem from the selling of alcohol, the ground says that it will put in place measures to control excessive consumption and intoxication by monitoring alcohol sales to individuals at point of sale.
It will also ensure active prevention of binge drinking and promote 'sensible drinking' through staff training to recognise when customers are becoming drunk as well as adopting appropriate 'cut off' procedures for drunken customers, so as to reduce the likelihood of fights or aggressive behaviour.
Moreover, it will use CCTV inside and/or outside the premises together with appropriate procedures and having staff properly trained to use CCTV equipment.
Training staff and door security aimed at reducing crime and disorder will be employed in the premises and its vicinity and the ground's staff will deal with and report incidents if they occur.
The ground has three bars already selling alcohol.
The deadline for local representations for this application is 13 June.
