COVID-19 is very much still a thing.

It dominates the headlines and affects almost every aspect of our lives.

From not seeing friends to wearing masks our lives have truly changed.

So how to stay positive during this difficult time?

Well as a journalist burying your head in the sand and not watching the news is not really an option.

However there are a few ways to keep positive.

There are of course the basics - talk to friends, regularly exercise and don't work yourself to the bone.

One thing I've found is to not think too far ahead.

The Government next review lockdown regulation in the middle of February. Of course it is very unlikely we will get any significant freedoms than but it acts as a little landmark.

So rather than think of how long we'll be in lockdown it is much more helpful to take a few steps at a time.

I'm also enjoying keeping track of how many people are being vaccinated - and seeing my grandparents being offered the jab is just great stuff.

So stay positive and keeping reading Nub News where we will put a positive spin on things as best we can!
