Filming trucks and other movie-making equipment has been assembled at the front of Hampton Court Palace in preparation for the start of filming a mystery production next week, Nub News can exclusively reveal.

The temporary marquees in front of the famous Hampton Court chimneys could be seen by weekend visitors to the gardens as well as towpath walkers and cyclists who were curious as to the goings-on at the Palace.

Hampton Court Palace is a regular location for both movie-making and for historic dramas for TV like Bridgerton and films like the Oscar-winning The Favourite starring Olivia Colman, Mama Mia, The Pirates of the Caribbean and Belgravia.

Last week a security official at the main gate wearing a high-viz jacket said he was not allowed to name the production and today a gate official told Nub News: "We are not allowed to say what it is but filming is due to start next week."

If you know more about the filming than us or you are appearing in the mystery production please let us know or if you get a great photo share it with us at [email protected]
