Faith groups got together for a "Warmer in Winter" charity event in a Kingston hall last Sunday 19 November 2023.

Sir Ed Davey, MP for Kingston and Surbiton, along with Stuart Diamond, CEO of Mitzvah Day UK, joined in the activities in the Kingston Liberal Synagogue (KLS) hall, showing their support for volunteers who made up goody bags for the local charity RBKares (Royal Borough of Kingston Cares). https://rbkares.org/

The volunteers made up tote bags filled with warm clothing and other goodies for the vulnerable in the local community. Over 250 individual bags were filled which will be distributed to vulnerable members of the community by RBKares.

The day was the culmination of Interfaith Week.

The Kingston event was part of a worldwide charity day and organised in conjunction with Mitzvah Day UK. Its mission is to make the world a better place through social action and by working together.
