Residents will welcome high-end Danish bakery Ole & Steen to Kingston this Thursday (March 30) as the renowned chain prepares to officially opens its 26th store in Kingston upon Thames.
Located at 14-16 Church Street, minutes away from Kingston's Market Place and the Bentall Centre, the bakery will offer residents and visitors to Kingston freshly-baked artisan breads, lunches and delicious pastries including Ole & Steen's famous Socials.
The dog-friendly bakery has a host of giveaways on offer during its opening week which eager locals will be able to make the most of.
To mark Ole & Steen's 26th addition to their family, Thursday will see the Kingston bakery hide 26 bunches of flowers on its street and in parks close by. Lucky residents who find the flowers will receive a voucher containing a prize, which will either be a voucher worth £250 of Ole & Steen goodness, or a whole Social to enjoy with family and friends.
Locals will also be able to benefit from the bakery's Dane-ishly welcome between Monday 3rd - Friday 7th April where 500 slices of renowned Ole & Steen Cinnamon Social (100 per day) will be given away at 3pm every day for those who download the Ole & Steen loyalty app.
Lee Nixon, Managing Director of Ole & Steen, said: "We are delighted to open our doors in Kingston. It's such a vibrant area and we can't wait to share our passion for authentic Danish baking with our new neighbours and local residents."
Kingston parents are also encouraged to get their young ones involved with the baker's 'Hide & Cheep' challenge during the Easter Holidays.
Running from Monday, April 3rd - Monday, April 10th, Ole & Steen will hide two fluffy chick toys in the local area which will contain a voucher allowing seekers to head into the bakery and redeem their 'Chicken Little' Marshmallow Whip and regular hot drink of their choice.
The Ole & Steen story started in 2008 when renowned Danish bakers Ole Kristoffersen and Steen Skallebaek joined forces, going on to launch 100 stores in Denmark with Lagkagehuset becoming a household name in the bakery industry.
The duo's first UK store opened on 19th December 2016 on Haymarket, under the name Ole & Steen. Thursday will see its Kingston store become the 23rd of the impressive London collection.
