Whether you're reading this in bed or wishing you were in it, in between hymns in church, waiting for your turkey dinner, before your next turn at monopoly, or slumped in front of the telly- Merry Christmas!

I'll be celebrating Christmas up north this year near Liverpool where my dad's family live and returning for some New Year's Eve celebrations at The Anglers.

Often the pressures and expectations are too high around Christmas: having the most beautiful tree, the ideal menu, the finest wine, buying the perfect present or looking your best. Rather, remember Christmas doesn't last for ever. Give yourself some time to escape from it all if you need a moment.

As the great Richard Osman said: "If you can't have a happy Christmas, I hope it is a peaceful one".

I have been editor for Kingston Nub for four months now and have loved every second of it.

From writing breaking news, promoting local events, and reviewing new restaurants and theatre productions at The Rose, every day has been an exciting one.

Although I am off until the end of the week, I will still be posting an article each day, including an article about New Year's Eve events in Kingston for you last-minuters!

I'm super excited about continuing my work in 2025 and would love to know what you want to see from me in the new year.
