Urban developer Bywater has revised its plans to build apartments at the former Regents Wing of Kingston Hospital in North Kingston, which has been vacant since 2021.

It wants to change the site's existing planning permission for 128 self-contained apartments with associated car parking to instead build 150 new homes with flexible amenity space including cycle parking to support a car-free development.

Bywater said: "The proposals are sensitively designed to respect the character of the area, ensuring that the Kingston Hospital is not impacted by the development."

However, the developer wants to discuss the revised proposals with local residents first and is thus holding a public consultation tomorrow (Tuesday, 3 June) at St Peter's Church in Norbiton.

The consultation provides an opportunity for locals to find out more about the proposals.

There will be two sessions on Tuesday running from 11am – 2pm and 4pm – 7pm.
