Community Brain to host Deco Disco at Surbiton Station next week

Following The Community Brain's (TCB) first Silent Disco at Surbiton Station, it is holding a second one next Tuesday, 22 July from 6pm – 8pm.

The Community Train CRP along with TCB  and the Friends of Surbiton Station are celebrating the 187th birthday of Surbiton Station throughout 2025 with various silent discos for local residents and commuters in the front ticket hall of the station.

TCB said: "Ready to dance your heart out in a unique location? Join us for a silent disco right at Surbiton Station!

"Get your groove on with special headphones playing the hottest beats. Let's turn the station into a dance floor together. With a live DJs and the gentle rumble of trains in the background, it's a unique way to experience a piece of railway history.

"Whether you're a local, a music lover, or just curious, it's a chance to experience Surbiton Station like never before. Grab your headphones and let's dance!"

Surbiton Station's current art-deco style station building, designed by James Robb Scott , was completed in 1937and is known for its iconic Art Deco facade. The station is a popular location for photography and has been featured in TV shows and movies.
