Burst sewer pipe in Kingston Vale, SW15 3PT, is "likely" to disrupt the A308 and A3 this morning, Thames Water reports.

Thames Water notified the public at 5:38am this morning with an alert on its site, stating engineers are working to rectify the problem.

It added: "It's likely that while we do this there will be some disruption to the A308 and A3, for which we apologise."

The nearby sewage pumping station will close whilst repairs are being carried out.

Meanwhile tankers will be used "around the clock" to remove sewage from the site and reduce impact on the environment.

Kingston Council and Thames Water have been contacted for further comment.
