BREAKING: Roads closed in Kingston as Met police investigate potential sexual assault

Police have closed off Brook Street, St. James' Road and part of the High Street up to Eden Street as it investigates a potential sexual assault.

Officers were called to investigate a "serious incident" in the early hours of this morning, Monday 30 October.

Access to the roads has been cordoned off by police tape with no access to pedestrians or drivers.

An officer on the scene said he has "no idea" when the roads will be clear again.

An officer at the entrance of the High Street, at the corner of Kingston Hall Road, is allowing some vehicle access.

Residents and workers in the area are encouraged to seek alternative routes

The Met has been contacted for comment.
