Appeal after man left seriously injured after stabbing in Kingston upon Thames

Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses after a man was seriously injured as the result of a stabbing in New Malden.

Police were called at approximately 17.05hrs on Thursday, 21 January to reports of a stabbing on Georgia Road, KT3.

Officers attended, along with London Ambulance Service, and found a 42-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds.

He was taken to an south London hospital where he continues to receive treatment for his injuries, which are not deemed life-threatening.

Detectives from the Met's South West CID are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident or noticed anything suspicious in the area at the time.

Detective Constable Jake Smalley, investigating, said: "This was a brutal attack which has left the victim hospitalised, with a long road to recovery.

"I believe there are witnesses to this incident who may be able to assist with our enquiries and help us to identify who is responsible. I would urge them to get in touch.

"If you saw any suspicious activity in the area that evening, or have any information regarding the attack, please come forward and tell us."

There have been no arrests; enquiries continue.
