Hampton Court Palace was totally closed to visitors today as filming resumed on a major Netflix production.

Officials at the Historic Royal Palaces declined to confirm the name of the series described to Nub News as 'a period drama.'

It is known that filming of series two of the smash hit Netflix series has already begun after much speculation.

One source told Nub News that Netflix had 'bought out' three full days at the Palace for filming costing thousands of pounds.

Officials on duty at the main gate said they were not allowed to say anything about the filming.

But the trucks, the coffee hospitality, the camera equipment, the temporary marquees, the security guards in the grounds, the new props on the garden were clear evidence of a major production.
