A 17-year-old boy is among six people who have been charged with attempted murder following a shooting in Kingston.

Officers, alongside the London Ambulance Service, were called to Newhouse Close in New Malden at 1.40am on Friday, 10 February, following reports of a shooting and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

The 28-year-old was rushed to hospital in critical condition, however his injuries are no longer deemed to be life-threatening.

All six suspects were charged with attempted murder, attempted robbery and having a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence.

Amadou Bah, 18, of Caverleigh Way, Worcester Park, Naomi Conteh, 18, of Dorking Close, Worcester Park, and James White, 18, of Russell Road, Mitcham, were charged on Tuesday February 14.

Since then Neil Jackson, 20, of Aldrington Road, SW16 and Joshua Bowman, 18, of Glebe Court, Mitcham and a 17-year-old boy have been charged with the same offences.

All six are due to appear at the Old Bailey on Thursday, 16 March, for a plea and trial preparation hearing.

Trident detectives from the Met's Specialist Crime Command continue to investigate the incident.

Anyone with information has been asked to call 101 or tweet @MetCC quoting CAD422/10Feb.
