On Sunday, 7 June, ten individuals will take on the Turks Head 10K in Twickenham — running to raise funds for Crossroads Care Richmond and Kingston.

With just a few weeks to go, training is well underway, and spirits are high.

Among Team Crossroads is the charity's Operations Manager, Nicola, who has been inspired by the huge commitment and compassion that unpaid carers show with very little recognition.

Nicola is fundraising with her friends Laetitia and Caroline, and you can learn more about the ladies here.

Also running are the two men who are going to be tackling the London Marathon 2027 to support Crossroads Care.

First up is Spencer who is off to a great start with some early training. You can learn more about his story here.

And next up is Rupert.

The London Marathon 2027 is a huge challenge for anyone, but Rupert got some great practice last year as part of the mighty team who ran all the way from Land's End to Teddington in aid of Crossroads.

As part of his commitment to Crossroads, he is taking part in the Turks Head too. You can find out more about Rupert's story on his fundraising page.

Crossroads' trustee Debbie and her family are also on board for this year's Turks Head.

The family ran the event last year to raise money for Crossroads and they have a special addition to their team this year in the form of their daughter Grace.

Grace ran the London Marathon 2025 for Crossroads.

You can find out more about their story on the Team Ramsay page.

And last but by no means least, Tilly O'Brien from Teddington Nub News is also taking part for Crossroads.

You can find out more on her page here.

Together, the team is supporting Crossroads Care's mission to provide vital services for unpaid carers and their families often facing isolation, hardship, and hidden challenges.

If you would like to volunteer at the event, email the charity at [email protected].

The run kicks off at 10am near the swings in Marble Hill Park, Riverside.

It will be more than just a race though as there will be live music, a BBQ and great community spirit too.

Crossroads said: "So whether you're running, volunteering or just want to soak up the atmosphere, do come along to the Crossroads stall to say hello."
