Kingston Riverside has new addition to its culinary scene, a brand-new Pizza Express, which opened on Kingston's Riverside last month.

Overlooking the river, this new spot offers relaxed dining and mouth-watering pizza.

I visited on a sunny Tuesday lunchtime, and the alfresco dining was the perfect place to soak up the sun while enjoying a delicious meal.

Despite it being a Tuesday, the restaurant was buzzing with many people out enjoying the riverside.

The service here was exceptional, and it was one of the most enjoyable meals I have had at any Pizza Express – and I have visited quite a few!

Shift Manager Faazil and my waiter George were both friendly and attentive, making sure that my experience was smooth without feeling rushed.

To start, I chose a Soho Spritz (£9.75), which is a refreshing drink made from Amalfi Limoncello, Prosecco, and soda.

Named after Soho, where Pizza Express first began in 1965, this drink was a match made in heaven with the weather.

It was sweet and tangy, and a generous drink that worked wonderfully with the outdoor setting.

For starters, we decided to try the Hawaiian Dough Balls (£8.25), a new addition in the summer menu, and the Buffalo Chicken Wings (£9.25).

The Hawaiian Dough Balls were a twist on a classic that should not be missed.

Topped with sweet pineapple and served with a habanero sauce, the unique combination of flavours worked a treat.

Pineapple on pizza is controversial, but here it absolutely works, especially with the garlic butter and crispy pancetta topping.

The wings were juicy and flavourful, although I do wish they were just a tad spicier. But they were far from flimsy, with plenty of meat on the bone.

For the main, I went for the Four Seasons Speciale Pizza (£19.95) on a Romana base, also new to the summer menu.

This was a fun choice with four different segments that each offer something different.

The quarter with plum tomatoes, basil, pine kernel pesto, and mozzarella was simple but delicious. It is light and fresh and does what it says on the tin.

The second, with Pepperoni and Calabrese sausage D.O.P. was a hearty combination packed with flavour that worked well alongside the lighter sections.

My favourite segment was the one with Mushroom, truffle, and Gran Milano cheese. This could easily be found at a high-end restaurant, with a much larger price tag.

The last segment comes with anchovies, capers, and olives. I am not an anchovy fan, so I swapped this for the recommended artichokes. They brought a zesty taste to the slice that was delicious and something I am keen to try again.

This pizza is a must-try for those who love tasting a bit of everything.

I was too full for dessert, but I was tempted by the Lemon and Raspberry Cheesecake and the Birthday Cake Sundae from the summer menu.

This new Pizza Express, with its beautiful setting and fantastic service, truly makes it stand out from other branches.
