Bonnie Rogues Kingston, which is located on Clarence Street, started hosting themed bottomless brunch events in January of this year.

The pub and bar now hosts a bottomless brunch on the last Saturday of each month with different themes and a drag queen host.

Now, bottomless brunch is one of my favourite types of social events, so when I saw that Bonnies was hosting a movie musicals themed brunch last month (Saturday, 30 May), I just had to get tickets and I brought along three friends.

Running from 2pm - 4pm on Saturday, guests were welcomed to a highly decorated back room of the venue with a complimentary bottle of prosecco to their tables and a sparkler gifted by one of the pub's waiters.

Each table was decorated with balloons, gold streamers, and star sunglasses for guests to wear, and we were served by the wonderful Molly who always made sure that we were not free of drinks.

The room was filled with birthday partiers, groups of women looking for a fun afternoon, and even a hen party, so I knew straight away that we were in for a good event.

Bonnies' brunch tickets cost £45 per person and include a main meal and unlimited pints, fizz or cocktails.

For drinks, we mainly stuck to bottles of prosecco, but we did, at one point, opt to try Bonnies' new Sarti Passion Fruit Spritz, which launched last month as part of Bonnies' new summer spritz menu, and I must say it was absolutely delicious and super refreshing - perfect for the summer.

For food, I opted for tofu nachos while my friends opted for nachos with pesto chicken, a chicken burger and chips, and Hunters Chicken, and we all loved our meals, though agreed that the nachos were the best, as unlike classic nachos, the added extra of the tofu and pesto chicken made the traditional Mexican dish much more flavoursome.

One of my friends said that the food was "delicious" and "much better" than he thought it would be.

Now, as a self-proclaimed bottomless brunch connoisseur, I would usually opt for more breakfast-style dishes like avocado on toast or pancakes, but Bonnies' brunch menu is more pub grub style, which actually worked perfectly to line our stomachs during a heavy day of drinking.

Throughout the event, guests were serenaded by the host to popular movie musical songs from films like Mamma Mia, The Lion King, Joseph and his Technicoloured Dream Coat, Grease and more, which made the event much more fun than your average brunch as guests were stood up swaying and drunkenly slurring along to their favourite songs.

And half way through, while the host took a quick break, Bonnies' staff hopped onto the bar to perform their now infamous dance routine to Tina Turner's Rolling on the River, which had everyone up dancing.

However, my favourite part of the event was when the host invited the event's hen and I to partake in a competition in which we had two minutes to create an outfit out of a bin bag.

Despite being engrossed in my outfit creating, I could hear the event's guests laughing and cheering us on.

While I did not win the overall prize of a complimentary bottle of vodka, I did get to lead the catwalk in my new outfit, which was super fun.

This bottomless brunch at Bonnie Rogues Kingston was epic and filled with laughter and colour.

The staff were amazingly attentitive and the food was great, so I would strongly recommend brunch at Bonnies to anyone looking to host a birthday, hen or stag do, or just looking for some fun.
