Whether you are reading this in bed or wishing you were in it, in between hymns in church, waiting for your turkey dinner, before your next turn at monopoly, or slumped in front of the telly- Merry Christmas!
I'll be visiting family in Liverpool for Christmas and having a much-needed week off before returning to Kingston for New Year's.
I hope you are able to spend some quality time with your loved ones- as well as remembering the ones who didn't make it to Christmas 2025.
Often the pressures and expectations are too high around Christmas: having the most beautiful tree, the ideal menu, the finest wine, buying the perfect present or looking your best. Rather, remember Christmas doesn't last for ever. Give yourself some time to escape from it all if you need a moment.

As the great Richard Osman said, if you can't have a happy Christmas, I hope it is a peaceful one.
I have been editor of Kingston Nub News for over a year now and have absolutely loved it -whether it be writing food and theatre reviews, covering crime and breaking news, or snapping the Duke of Edinburgh during his visit to Kingston.
Although I will be having a wee break over the Christmas period, Nub News will be posting an article a day to keep you entertained and informed.
Watch out for the five most read stories from 2025!
