The second hustings of the campaign for Richmond Park candidates has been announced, following the release of all party manifestos.

The Richmond Society will host Richmond Park MP hopefuls on Monday, 24 June at Duke Street Church, Richmond from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.

Their constituency encompasses a significant minority of the borough's residents in North Kingston, Kingston Hill, and parts of Coombe.

Ahead of the hustings, The Richmond Society has told Nub News: "The Richmond Society believes it is important for its members and voters to have the opportunity of seeing candidates answer questions and assessing their ability to represent their constituents.

"Will they be prepared to put their constituents' interests before their own party? How independently minded are they? You can't make that assessment based on campaign literature."

In the election campaign's first hustings at Grey Court School, residents quizzed the candidates on topics such as: Thames Water, local businesses, Mortlake, Hammersmith Bridge and more.

Residents and attendees can submit questions for the candidates by emailing [email protected] before 5pm on Sunday, 23 June.

Doors open at 7pm when wine and soft drinks will be offered. Places will be available on a first come basis and there is no charge to attend.
