A pair of Kingston artists have opened a new pop-up gallery in London.

Kate Winskill of 1of1Design set up the art collective's 6 week exhibition in the Westfield Centre on August 1.

Their gallery shows the work of 6 emerging and established artists from Teddington and Kingston.

Called Art House, the space aims to bring affordable art to the public and will be open until September 12.

Hampton Wick resident Winskill is exhibiting a new series of her famous CatWomen prints, while co-founder Raph Thomas is showing new originals of his colourful rainbow animals.

Joining them are collage and abstract artist Stephen Doak and expressionist landscape painter Dilys Foster.

Emerging urban artists Rory Thomas, Luis Alvarez and Lauren Mavromatis are also displaying work in the gallery.

You can meet all 6 artists and preview their work at an evening event on Thursday 26 August, from 6pm to 8pm

Winskill said: "On behalf of the London artists involved, we would like to thank Westfield London for their help in getting this initiative off the ground and providing the beautiful space and fitments to make it work.

"The opportunity to show and talk about our artwork in the biggest shopping mall in Europe is amazing.

"To reach a large audience of the general public , and get feedback is invaluable, especially after the long lockdowns.

"We hope people wanting some colour in their lives will come and find us!"

The gallery's opening hours are 12-6pm on Thursday to Tuesday and 10-6pm on Saturday. It is closed on Wednesdays.

Art House is located on the Ground Floor of Westfield, next to North Face & Levi's and near lobby 4. The most convenient car park is Car Park A.

Prints cost from £50 and originals from £100, and the gallery offers free local delivery for large paintings.

Will you be visiting the pop-up gallery?
