COVID statistics continue to move in the right direction in our borough.

Cases in Kingston are on the decline - the seven day average is 718 people are testing positive.

This is down 13.5% from the previous week and averages to 68 people per day testing positive (the discrepancy is due to people being tested multiple times.)

Crucially patients admitted to hospitals are falling - relieving pressure on the NHS.

Over the past seven days 132 people were admitted to hospital in the borough - down 19% on the previous week.

23 people died in Kingston last week - which is up one versus the previous week.

It is hoped that now that deaths are beginning to level off they will soon make a downward turn.

There is no local vaccine data yet - however nearly six million doses have been given out in the country.

This number is set to increase as nearly a million were vaccinated on Friday and Saturday alone.

The source for the data can be found HERE
