Our client is a successful and growing owner-managed business that is committed to delivering excellent customer service. It seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented person to join its team of 15 staff, based in Surbiton. If you are an organized, efficient, and proactive individual with strong communication and problem-solving skills, this could be the role for you. It is a visible role that is an essential part of a dynamic and growing company and its purpose is to assist a busy sales team with sales and quote related administration.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain prices from suppliers for procurement of materials, feeding purchase price options to sales team.
- Maintenance of the material rates database on google spreadsheets.
- Quote preparation for the Sales Team using standard templates to create professional quotes for clients.
- Manage and maintain office records, files, and documentation, including the log of all quotes sent to customers - ensure follow-up as required. Update the supplier map with all new suppliers and depots.
- Organize and schedule meetings, appointments, and events.
- Take incoming customer orders, liaising with customers re delivery dates.
- Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including emails, calls, and mail.
- Provide general administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the office.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an administrative role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a busy team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
