In this role, the ideal candidate will navigate the cyclical nature of the catering business, engaging in everything from bidding for new projects to re-bidding existing contracts. This individual will possess a robust analytical mindset and keen commercial acumen, enabling them to interpret sales-related data and provide strategic recommendations. Role Purpose
The Business Growth & Profitability Manager will support the Head of B&PG in enhancing the company's understanding of client profitability while promoting excellence in tender responses. Responsibilities will include managing tender responses, analysing client profitability, and prioritising the sales pipeline of opportunities.
Key Accountabilities
Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of new business opportunities by profiling potential clients, understanding their objectives, and assessing fit with operations. Regular updates to Salesforce are essential.
Bid Management: Lead the creation of compelling proposals by coordinating responses across various departments. Manage the entire bid process from project planning to final approval, ensuring timely and market-relevant submissions.
Client Profitability: Conduct in-depth analyses of client profitability and generate actionable insights by collaborating with sales, finance, and operations teams. Regularly distribute accurate profitability reports and assist in creating insightful presentations for executive leadership.
Key Collaboration: Equip sales teams with data-driven insights, training materials, and tools to support their prospecting and contract negotiation efforts.
This role offers the chance to contribute to key strategies while adapting to market complexities and variations in accountability's.
Skills & Experience
Candidates should have a minimum of three years of experience in new business development, including managing pipelines and analysing contract profitability. Attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a collaborative spirit are crucial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, and Power BI, along with strong project management and organisational abilities, is expected.
The successful candidate will thrive in a flexible and autonomous environment, effectively managing their time and responsibilities to ensure top-tier service delivery. While the base location will be London, LHR, occasional travel may be required to support colleagues in need.
