RC Fornax is seeking a Systems Engineer with expertise in Electrical & Electromagnetic Compatibility (E&EMC) to support a package of work for a customer based in New Malden.
This role is outside IR35, involves occasional site visits and offers flexibility with a competitive rate.
The role requires the leading of Verification and Validation and IVVQ principles andbest practices across the System Engineering lifecycle, from requirements and designthrough integration, acceptance and delivery.
- The role is focussed on the Environmental and EMC qualification activities required to physically prove our designs. Where the qualification activities are not prioritised, the role will be applied to general V&V activities.
- Responsible for a team of multi disciplined engineers required to plan, conduct and report the necessary IVVTQ activities whose results are to be used as evidence for design qualification.
- Plan and co-ordinate test activities to be conducted at third party UKAS accredited E&EMC test facilities.
- Ensure quality and timeliness of IVVQ management plans and other documentation such as Test Procedures, VCRI s, Test Reports etc.
- Co-ordination and delivery of Off-site physical testing of electrical sub-systems.
- Support the continuous improvement of the IVVTQ and associated V&V processes using approved, best practice methods.
- Own, manage, implement and deliver an evidence-based approach for IVVTQA activities relating for project/programme.
- Determine and plan the appropriate approach of IVVQ activities in accordance with department and industry standards.
- Represent the V&V team at Project reviews, Design reviews, Risk analysis meetings,
- Change Impact activities etc.
- Ability to support the wider V&V activities, including software deliveries as and when required.
Your Experience:
- Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent experience in Systems Engineering/E&EMC/Control Systems engineering.
- Experience delivering in accordance with SE V&V processes and methodologies in accordance with Industry standards e.g. ISO 15288/ISO 29119.
- Understanding of electrical engineering to facilitate test assurance and requirement compliance activities.
- Task and technical Team leadership experience.
- Experienced in System Engineering V&V lifecycle planning, conduct and reporting
