The Energy Division at ARM is currently recruiting a Principal Geotechnical Engineer, to be based out of Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey.

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Principal Geotechnical Engineer to be a part of our London team, focusing on the design of Offshore Wind Foundations.

As a Principal Geotechnical Engineer, you will be involved in the review of geotechnical data and the definition of soil strength parameters for foundation and installation analysis. You will be responsible for developing innovative pile foundation designs, including steel jackets, monopiles, suction caissons, mud mats, and gravity base structures.

You will create analytical models for both linear and non-linear load/deflection responses, ensuring optimal foundation and structure interaction.

Your role will also include deriving soil resistance and driveability analyses, as well as spearheading pile driving fatigue, penetration, and interaction studies.

What technical aspects need to succeed

  • Finite Element Analysis in geotechnical design.
  • Hand calculations
  • Software experience GRLWEAP / PLAXIS desirable if you have SPLICE
  • BEng or Meng in Civil Engineering / Geotechnical Engineering
