Chartered Quantity Surveyor - Construction Consultancy

Consortio recruitment Group have apartnered with a Consultancy that specialises in high-profile and exciting projects, primarily focusing on prime and super prime residential properties, along with community and healthcare projects.

We are hiring for an experienced Chartered Surveyor to join our leading construction consultancy with a legacy of excellence, they have established a strong reputation for delivering exceptional services across a diverse range of construction projects.

Their primary focus is on prime and super prime residential properties, supplemented by community and healthcare projects. Our commitment to innovation, quality, and client satisfaction has positioned us as a trusted partner in the industry. they are a multidisciplinary company with a team of 15-20 dedicated professionals. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of projects, providing expert cost management and consultancy services from inception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

- Preparing cost estimates and budgets for construction projects

- Conducting feasibility studies and cost planning

- Managing the tender process, including evaluating and negotiating contracts

- Monitoring project costs and financial progress

- Conducting risk and value management

- Advising on procurement strategy

- Preparing detailed progress reports for clients

- Managing project changes and variations

- Ensuring compliance with legal and contractual obligations

- Collaborating with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors

- Managing and mentoring team members, assisting in their professional development and progression

- Administering JCT contracts effectively

- Potential involvement in projects as a Construction Manager

Requirements:

- MRICS qualification (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)

- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a consultancy environment

- Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods and materials

- Excellent analytical and numerical skills

- Strong understanding of contract law and regulations

- Proficient in using industry-specific software

- Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities

- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

- Experience in managing and developing team members

- Experience in JCT contract administration
