• A complete clean of the stones of the outside of a major building in London as well as windows being refurbished and restored
• Refurbishment and restoration of the Grade II school and chapel building. This project was worth over 3.5M
• Completion of an office refurbishment in Central London with a value of over 1M

The Role

Our client is currently seeking to recruit an Assistant Estimator to join their growing pre-construction team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the early stages of their construction career, ideally already working towards a qualification in construction or quantity surveying, with some relevant experience in estimating or tender preparation.

You will assist in the preparation of accurate and competitive tenders for refurbishment and fit-out projects across London and the Southeast, working closely with the senior estimator and wider pre-construction team.

Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions for commercial and retail refurbishment projects
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and scope documents to understand project requirements
• Support the measurement of quantities and production of bills of quantities (BoQs)
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations
• Help review and compare quotations for accuracy and compliance
• Maintain and update pricing databases and project cost records
• Attend site visits and tender meetings with senior team members as required
• Contribute to value engineering discussions and commercial reviews
