WORLD CLASS CROQUET IN SURBITON

Missing the football World Cup? Want more international sport where the England team are among the favourites?

No need to look far! From next Wednesday 5 August to Sunday 9 August Surbiton Croquet Club is hosting the final matches of the croquet "World Cup" – the MacRobertson Shield. Top teams from England, Australia, New Zealand and the USA will be battling it out to win this prestigious trophy, first competed for in 1925.

Spectators are welcome - no need to worry about extortionate ticket prices as entry is free! There is a cash bar and club members will be on hand to explain what is going on. Matches start at 9:30 and continue well into the afternoon. Children (under 18) are welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

The MacRobertson Shield is held only every four years, and this is the first time Surbiton has hosted since 2010. Don't miss this opportunity to see top croquet action!
