My name is Rich Allo and I am a singer-songwriter of indie and alternative rock music from Jersey, Channel Islands. I studied Drama and Creative Writing at Kingston University from 2016 to 2019.

This month I will be returning to Kingston to celebrate the release of my brand new studio album 'Only Me'.

Inspired by artists including Elton John and Keane's Tom Chaplin, the 14-track release explores life through the eyes of a young person passing through their mid-twenties, touching on life uncertainties, relationships and mental health.

As is the case for many young people, this has been an important turning point in my life for me. I've found myself at crossroads which have forced me to make decisions about what I want to do, where I want to go and who I want to be with. The mid-twenties can be a confusing and uncertain time, and often uncover particular mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. I hope that the lyrics in my new songs will offer a sense of comfort to anybody going through a similar time.

The lead single from the album 'Love Yourself' reinforces the importance of self-love, particularly during challenging periods of life. The accompanying music video was shot in Jersey, Channel Islands by Primavera Pictures and stars actress Meggan Roberts.

I will be performing a special ticketed performance with my band at RamJam Records on Thursday 11th April (the eve before the release), where there will also be album and merch sales. Jersey singer-songwriter Jared Crespel will also be performing a support set, bringing atmospheric acoustic tunes to the stage.

This performance is part of a UK tour which will be commencing in June and taking place in locations such as Brighton, Southampton, London and Birmingham.
