Onyx School of Performing Arts has announced the launch of three performing arts scholarships for children aged 6–8, offering young people the opportunity to access high-quality training in acting, singing and street dance.
Applications are now open, with entries closing on 12th January. Successful applicants will receive a full term of structured training, attending two hours of tuition every Saturday as part of Onyx's triple-threat programme.
The scholarships are designed to support both recreational students and children with aspirations for a future professional career. Classes are led by experienced industry professionals and qualified teachers (QTS), ensuring a strong technical foundation alongside confidence and creative development.
Onyx School of Performing Arts is a registered exam centre for Trinity College London and I-PATH, giving students the opportunity to work towards Ofqual-regulated graded exams and qualifications. Students also benefit from regular performance opportunities, including end-of-term presentations and the school's annual showcase.
Speaking about the initiative, the Principal of Onyx School of Performing Arts said:
"These scholarships are about opening doors for young people to access high-quality performing arts training. We are passionate about nurturing talent while delivering instruction that supports both personal and performance development."
Parents and carers are encouraged to apply by 12th January for the chance to secure a full term of performing arts training for their child.
