18th Apr 2024 - 4th Jul 2024
UNTIL Thursday 4th July
Starting 18 April 2024, local charity Room for Work offers a free 12-lesson career development course for Kingston residents. If you're a mature person struggling to get back into work -- or you've been away from the workplace and would like to return -- this is the programme for you. Course participants learn current job search techniques with an emphasis on networking, developing social media skills, improving CVs, and practising competency-based interviews. All delivered in a friendly local environment.
The programme is for mature people over 45 with previous work experience. Those who are new to the UK job market with good basic English and computer skills are also welcome to join. You'll be with like-minded people in the same situation, using the power of community to build your motivation and confidence in finding a job. The Room for Work format includes tailored, one-to-one mentoring provided by the Course Leader.
The course is delivered in a central Kingston location at Everyday Church Kingston, 46 Union Street, Kingston KT1 1RP. Classes are held on Thursdays from 10am-12.30pm. The course runs from April 18th – July 4th. Spaces fill up quickly. For more info and to register visit www.roomforwork.org
