60 Years of The Sound of Music in New Malden

Sing four classic songs from The Sound of Music as we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the record-breaking The Sound of Music album in a fun event for everyone in New Malden Station Car Park.

We encourage everyone to dress the part and come along as their favourite character from the famous film. Need some inspiration? Turn up as a nun and help us set a new record for the largest convent to take part in a Sound of Music singalong!

Why?

The Sound of Music soundtrack album was produced and distributed by Decca Records in New Malden in 1965. It topped the UK album charts for 70 weeks in total between 1965 and 1968!

To celebrate the legacy of this amazing music heritage we will be holding a mass singing event followed by a singalong film screening of the original film.

Come along and sing 4 songs from the original soundtrack:

  • Sound of Music
  • Do Re Mi
  • My Favourite Things
