Kingstonian were pegged back twice and forced to settle for a point as they drew 2-2 away at Bowers and Pitsea in the Isthmian League Premier Division.
The Ks twice took the lead during the first half as Jamal Allen scored at both ends for the home team, before Tyrese Owen sent Kingstonian in at half-time with the lead.
Duane Ofori-Acheampong scored mid-way through the second period to consign Hayden Bird's men to yet another draw.
Having failed to beat a Bowers and Pitsea side who have struggled to start the season, Kingstonian are in 14th place with six draws from eight matches.
Hayden Bird made one change from the side who had drawn with Bognor Regis Town in mid-week as Dwight Pascal replaced Declan Skura at the back.
It was a frantic first half at the Len Salmon Stadium, but the scoring didn't begin until just after the half hour mark as the Bowers defence appeared to be attempting to audition for a Benny Hill film as Allen misjudged a header back to his goalkeeper and lobbed him and it went into the unguarded net, giving the Ks the lead.
However, it did not take long for Kingstonian to surrender their lead as Allen found the back of the other net just two minutes after having scored his own goal.
There was just seven minutes separating the first goal of the game from the third as the Ks retook the lead when Owen diverted in Thomas Gogo's cross to give the away side a deserved lead at the break.
The game flipped as the two teams re-emerged from the dressing rooms as Kingstonian never found the rhythm that they had in the first period and Bowers and Pitsea took the initiative and Ofori-Acheampong levelled it up once again on 64 minutes.
From that point the game fizzled out and Kingstonian were able to stifle Bowers and secure yet another solitary point.
Kingstonian are back in action on Saturday as second place Potters Bar Town visit Imperial Fields.
