Becky Beston, the mother of Archie Beston, who was tragically killed in Kingston last year, has organised a march to commemorate her son one year after his death.

Family, friends and other members of the community met at Castelnau Recreation Ground, a place where Archie used to play football with his friends, on Sunday for the "Arch March" and went on to release pink balloons on Richmond hill in celebration of his life.

The hall will be lit in purple

The Guildhall building will be lit up in purple from 7-9pm on Monday 8 March to mark International Women's Day 2021.

Councillor Alison Holt, Member Sponsor for the Women's (+A) Network at Kingston Council, said: "We are proud to be part of International Women's Day. Almost 60% of our workforce is female, and there are many women in senior leadership positions throughout the council.
