Decisions on whether or not to close public toilets in Kingston will be finalised on 25th February

This week, Kingston Conservatives have accused the Council of voting through plans to "permanently close the last 4 public toilets in the borough" at a committee meeting on 11th February.

The Conservatives claim that the Liberal Democrats were trying to "spin the news saying that the toilet closures were due to Covid-19 lockdown precautions" when it was in fact a "permanent cost-cutting measure."

Vaccines against the coronavirus are now being delivered

Plans for more mass vaccination sites in South West London have been unveiled.

People could soon be asked to attend appointments at Centre Court and AFC Wimbledon (Merton), Battersea Arts Centre (Wandsworth), Centrale Shopping Centre (Croydon), Queen Mary's Hospital (Wandsworth) and the St Nicholas Centre (Sutton).

Kingston Council will fly the Pride flag on 26th February to mark LGBT+ History Month

February is LGBT+ History Month, and Kingston LGBT forum have been organising a number of fun and inclusive events in celebration of their community.

Kingston Council will also be flying the rainbow flag from the Guildhall on Friday, February 26 to recognise LGBT+ History Month, a tradition which they first started in 2019 to celebrate Pride.
