History Walk: Kingston's Pubs Ancient & Modern, 5pm-6:30pm

Join Brian Sullivan, attendant to the Mayor of Kingston and local amateur historian, on a special walking tour to discover the history of some of Kingston's inns, past and present.

This unique tour will start with a welcome drink and introductory talk in the Mayor's Parlour in the Guildhall, itself part of Kingston's rich history. The group will then move on to the ancient marketplace and riverside, where Brian will regale you with information and anecdotes on some of our current public houses, as well as the inns of days gone by.

This event is in aid of The Mayor's Charitable Trust,  which in 2023-24 is supporting two local charities: Voices of Hope & Kingston Charitable Foundation.

Tickets cost £20 per person (over 18's only)

Tamar at the Grey Horse

Born in New Zealand, Tamar is a singer and pianist with Māori ancestry. She weaves threads of world and soul together, to create her own sound and musical style: World Soul Music.

Sing with Tamar, 4:30pm-5:30pm

Tamar opens the space for learning about the art of music, in a natural way and to enjoy singing as a group. No previous knowledge of music or singing is required.

The goal of this singing workshop is to connect to ourselves and to our hearts. To find the courage to open and freely express the unique voice that exists in each and every one of us and share it. During the workshop we will connect to the breath, movement and bring conscious listening into our bodies. We will focus on sounding "what is" and channel through our voices and improvise.

Tamar and Friends, 19:30-22:30

Tamar will be joined by some talented friends and her support act Nawaf a singer and mystical healer from NYC.

Whether she is singing and playing the piano alone or accompanied by fellow artists, Tamar captivates her audiences with her powerful musical transmissions that are filled with wild, divine beauty. She penetrates the hearts of young and old alike and delivers a unique alchemical experience, abundant with sacred feminine energy. Tamar is a force of nature, expressing her life art with freedom, grace and elegance.
