Two more men arrested over fatal Kingston stabbing

Detectives investigating a fatal stabbing in Kingston arrested two men on suspicion of murder today (Wednesday 1 September).

The men, both aged 22, are being held in custody in London police stations.

Detectives with the Metropolitan Police are currently investigating the death of Kai Davis, a 22-year-old man from Hounslow.

Kai was found with stab wounds on Kingston's Clarence Street in the early hours of 21 August last month.

He was taken to hospital but tragically later pronounced dead.

Kai's next-of-kin have been told and are being supported by specialist officers.

Following the incident, an 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder but he was later has released with no further action.

A second man, aged 19, was also arrested on suspicion of murder. He was taken to a south London police station and was subsequently released on bail to return on a date in mid-September.

DCI Kate Kieran, leading the investigation, said: "A dedicated team of detectives is working on this investigation.

"We remain committed to bringing justice to Kai's family. I can't imagine how difficult this time must be for them and I thank them for their continued support as we progress all lines of enquiry.

"The Met is committed to tackling violence across London, but we cannot do it alone. I continue to appeal for information.

"There were a large number of people present when this happened and I urge those people to come forward.

"You may be able to help us significantly in our investigation."
