fit20 opens new studio in Kingston following Chiswick success

Private training studio chain, fit20, has officially opened the doors to its new Kingston studio, marking the third studio for West London business owner Attila Leb.

Attila already runs established studios in fit20 Chiswick, opened in 2019, and fit20 Uxbridge.

He says expanding into Kingston represents both a personal milestone and a natural next step in building the strength-training concept across West London.

Attila added: "I've spent years building strong foundations in Chiswick and Uxbridge.

"Kingston has a fantastic community feel. It's active, vibrant and only half an hour from my other studios. It made sense both operationally and personally."

Before entering the fitness industry, Attila spent 15 years in hospitality, experience he says still shapes the way he runs his studios today.

He said: "Hospitality teaches you consistency, service and attention to detail. In fit20, results and service have to go hand in hand. People aren't just coming for a workout, they're trusting you with their health."

A smarter way to build strength

The fit20 method is built around a simple idea: one 20-minute session per week, supervised one-to-one in a calm, private setting. The training is slow, controlled and tension-based rather than impact-based, meaning no jumping, no loud classes and no crowded gym floors.

Attila said: "When I first opened in 2019, I'll admit I had some scepticism. Would people really accept training once a week for 20 minutes?"

Seven years on, the answer is clear.

He added: "I've seen consistent results across hundreds of members. It's simple, efficient and incredibly effective, especially as we get older."

Strength training that future-proofs your body

As we move through our 40s, 50s and beyond, many people begin to notice subtle physical decline, stairs feel harder, recovery takes longer and small aches become persistent. That is exactly when strength training becomes most important.

"As we get older, we naturally lose muscle every year and that's what leads to weakness, instability and loss of independence," Attila explained.

"The solution isn't doing less. It's building and maintaining muscle, just in a smarter and safer way. That's exactly what fit20 is designed to do."

Over the years, he has worked with hundreds of members who once avoided gyms altogether.

Attila added: "One lady joined us after a double knee replacement. She had no confidence and felt she was physically deteriorating. Today she leg-presses over 100kg, something she never imagined possible. That change has been life-altering."

Interestingly, Attila says, the most common feedback isn't about appearance.

He continued: "It's energy. Members often tell me, 'I just feel stronger. I want to do more.' For many people, fit20 is the starting point for becoming more active again."

Confidence built on experience

Opening a third studio reflects Attila's long-term confidence in the model. As the first operator in the UK to run three fit20 studios, he sees the expansion as both an opportunity and a responsibility.

He said: "It's now a tried-and-tested formula. Each studio benefits from years of collective experience. I want to show what's possible when the model is applied with care, consistency and long-term thinking."

For Kingston, Attila's goal is straightforward.

He continued: "I want to build a strong, sustainable membership base and make sure people understand that getting stronger is possible at any age.

"If we can become a trusted part of the local community and help people live more independent, active lives, that's success."

fit20 Kingston, which is located above Headmasters on Thames Street, is now open and welcoming new members. Residents can book a FREE introductory session to experience the training for themselves here.
