Developer London Square unveiled its first official showroom at the Grade II* listed County Hall building in Kingston at an exclusive event on Thursday evening (9 July).

Running from 4pm - 7pm, guests were welcomed to the event with free wine and champagne from ExCellar Kingston and canapés along with music from a wonderful violinist.

Interested guests were also invited to look at London Square's first available apartment showroom in the building, which is on the market to buy for £790k and to browse wonderful artwork from Clarendon Art.

London Square officially launched its show apartment at County Hall Kingston last month (June), offering a look inside the borough's most iconic historical landmark post its restoration.

The Grade II* listed former Surrey County Hall on Penrhyn Road, featured in Downton Abbey, Poirot and Midsomer Murders.

Plenty of the original features seen on screen can still be found today, including imperial staircases, marble floors and stained-glass windows, all of which have been carefully preserved.

The courtroom is also still in place and plaques throughout the building note many historical figures, adding another layer of depth and interest to the new homes.

London Square anticipates that the renovation will be completed by 2027.
