Local woman to represent Kingston at Mrs UK World beauty pageant
Louise Kingman is representing Kingston at this year's Mrs UK World beauty pageant.
She lives in Kingston and works as a trainer at The Gym Group Kingston on Adams Walk.
In preparation for the pageant, Kingman is hosting is a Valentine's pamper day at the Pretty Fit Aesthetics salon on Richmond Road in Kingston.
Speaking about the pageant and the event, Kingman told Kingston Nub: "Pretty Fit Aesthetics is kindly sponsoring me for Mrs UK World beauty pageant where I will be representing Kingston.
"I am using the beauty pageant platform to spread awareness of secondary breast cancer after my mum's diagnosis.
"We are hosting a charity pamper day in February. Please join us so we can prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer and help families like mine."
The event will run from 1pm – 5pm on Sunday 9 February and all proceeds from ticket sales will go to Cancer Research UK.
Tickets cost £11.55 and include a complimentary glass of prosecco.
Discounts on beauty treatments, including facials will be available on the day and there will be a charity raffle.

Mrs. World is the first beauty pageant for married women, conceived in 1984. The concept of the pageant itself has its roots in Mrs. America.
From 1984 to 1987, the pageant was known as Mrs. Woman of the World and was changed to Mrs. World in 1988.
The contest is the biggest marital pageant in the world.
